Her mother and aunt tell her stories of their childhood together when they annoyed one another and caused each other grief like sisters can do sometimes. In the end, Beezus hopes for a good relationship with her sister after she confesses to her parents and aunt that she did not love Ramona at that moment. Ramona also upsets Beezus when she destroys two of her birthday cakes this was the incident that made Beezus feel as though she did not love Ramona at all. Another incident is when Ramona finds a box of apples in their basement and takes one bite out of each of them. For example, Ramona writes her name in a library book that Beezus checks out because she does not want to return it. The sisters face a great deal of conflict with one another due to Ramona’s bad behavior throughout the book the reader is told about all of the quarrels between the sisters. This definitely bothers Beezus who is the well-behaved, quiet older sister. Ramona always seems to get her way by throwing a temper tantrum or by doing exactly what she wants even after being told “no” by her parents or Beezus.
